SEGS again ran the Gundog events at this year’s Show and
organised two ‘invitation’ competitions. On Sunday 26th August
‘The Retriever Challenge’ featured 15 ‘open’ standard retrievers
and on Monday 27th August ‘The Team Challenge’ featured 6 Teams
each comprising a Flatcoated Retriever, a Golden Retriever,
a Labrador Retriever and a Spaniel. As well as these competitons
there were also various demonstrations during the two days.

The Gundog competitions and demonstrations again proved popular,
with a good and appreciative crowd coming and going throughout the
two days, and there was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere amongst
the competitors who all entered into the spirit of the event.
